A Comparative Analysis of the Characteristics of Platform Motion of a Floating Offshore Wind Turbine Based on Pitch Controllers

The installation of fixed offshore wind power systems at greater water depths requires a floating body the foundation system. However, this presents various issues. This study analyzes characteristics platform motion turbine system based on performance pitch controller. in generation system, change according to response speed blade controller since is installed unlike existing onshore Therefore, using controllers that have been applied previous studies. Consequently, an appropriate proposed for developed consists NREL 5-MW class and OC4 semi-submersible platform; evaluated FAST-v8 by NREL. results demonstrate reduces considering both individual control negative damping phenomenon. Additionally, it confirmed output increases approximately 0.42%, while variability decreases 19.3% through reduction movement.
